Yeah, I was honored that they reached out to tell me. Apparently, they said that selling the medals to me allowed their dad to relive a lot of experiences, and he brightened up at the end, getting to be a "hero" again, in the eyes of his family.

I don't actually remember. I have a couple of issues at the office somewhere. Dietrich? What issue was it, where the 800/4 story came out?

It was Volume 1, No.4 of the International Medal Collector. Not available in GB but here in the USA.

I have read the nice story in the magazine, can you please tell me what was the veteran's Regiment or Company or Battalion within the 3rd Infantry Division?
