Default Pickelhaube with plume

I got this several years ago and have never posted. I know very little about these kinds of helmets. Any input is appreciated.

It is a Wurttemberg Generals helmet with feathered parade plume.

An extremely rare helmet and if all good, worth some serious cash.

Nice, I mean really nice helmet.

Yes, this does look like an authentic Wurttemberg general's pickelhaube. The plume appears to be the correct white, black & red feathers.
As stated, quite a rare and valuable item.
Congratulations.

Indeed, a very nice Württemberg general's Pickelhuabe in parade set up.

Helmut Weitze currently offers a similar set up for a General a la Suite (silver fittings instead of gold) for € 12.000 - see https://www.weitze.net/militaria/44/...e__296244.html

Kind regards,
Sandro

So at least overvalued by 3000 euro - knowing Weitze's prices.

As for the star on the helmet can we please see some better pics of it?

Not so sure you are correct, Kaiserwilhelm2. Thies sold a helmet similar to the one shown here (so for an actieve general) for € 10 k last year. A Wuerttemberg a la suite is rarer, and Helmut’s offering inclusies a seal. So around € 10/11k for the helmet in the current thread is probably in line with market.

That would be a first for me.

Hi guys thanks for all the comments. I understand what you mean about dealers prices. I have been tied up but will try to get another pic soon. By “Star” do you mean the emblem on the front?

In addition, I do not collect these items so this will probably make it to the estand unless it sells before I get to that.
