Default German caps

I recently bought a lot of military material. Inside I found these pieces. Can you help me understand what it is? It's not my topic. The shoulder straps I think are German but I'm not sure.
thank you very much.

Hello,

The shoulder boards are those of a Prussian major. The underlay material is not showing in your picture, so I can't tell you anything else.

The caps appear to be a that of a Dragoon portepee NCO (although the body of the cap is darker blue than you would expect for an Dragoon) and a Prussian infantry enlisted man's.

+1

Although I find the wool and further details on the Dragoon cap quite rough - I would have expected a nicer quality cap for something Imperial. Passo can you provide an interior shot of that cap?

I would suggest that it's a veterans association caps from the 1920's/30's.

Ciao Passostanco

With regards to the first visor, no Dragoner-Regts in my opinion, because the fabric of the top was light blue. Consequently, I agree with Ben: something else, but not Cavalry. I suggest you post it on the clothgear forum because something interesting (far beyond my limited experience) could come up.

For the second, no problem: Infantry enlisted.

The third is a real puzzle, because this was the configuration of 9 & 11th Ulanen-Rgts.

The history of Kemner, during WW2 and postwar, was already written in this thread (posts 358/360):

http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...geiger&page=24

For the pre WW1 period, in 1905 no Kemner in Hellwegstr. 3:

http://wiki-de.genealogy.net/w/index...5.djvu&page=63

but Heinrich Kemner, hatmaker, + Johann in Obere Marktstr. 27:

http://wiki-de.genealogy.net/w/index....djvu&page=326
http://wiki-de.genealogy.net/w/index...5.djvu&page=94

With reference to the construction details, I don’t like the grey underside of the peak (I hope it is white in reality); the grey lining which bears a tailor label very uncommon for a pre-WW1 visor; finally the stirndruckfrei remains and the seam at the base of the white band, both also very uncommon. I think of a much more recent visor revitalized with two officer cockades also made after the imperial age. Also in this case I suggest you post it on the clothgear forum for a definitive (at least I hope) answer.

Best regards

Third visor is not imperial but made to look like one.
First visor, colour scheme possible for Dragoons but the overall quality is not what I would expect for an officer cap.
Infantry cap looks ok.

thank you very much!
the underside of the peak is grey!
it looks like a very old building because there are rusty metal stops and reinforcements that do not seem to have been recently put.
I will also take pictures of the interior with sunlight.
thanks for your opinions!
