Default Imperial Waffenrock with 7 front buttons instead of 8

Hi Guys,

Recently I came across an Imperial Waffenrock pre-WWI (so called dunkelblau) with 7 front buttons instead of 8 - no buttons missing as there are also 7 button holes. Has anyone come across any other German Imperial Waffenrocks with 7 buttons instead of 8? For clarity purposes I am not referring to Waffenrocks that are supposed to have less than 8 buttons such as the Attila. Please let me know. Thanks.

Cheers, W.I.R.

I can only offer that Dutch tunics typically had 7 button fronts. I don’t much about pre WWI Dutch tunics or non Dutch green tunics, but you should look into that

Thanks Phil for the information. Interesting suggestion. Unfortunately I have little material to work with as I am quite clueless about pre-WWI Dutch tunics.
