This is listed on ebay and I wanted to know if it was legitimate. Pictures are poor.

One of the funny things about late 19th early 20th century sword peripherals is how much was in common between French, Japanese and American equipment. Very hard to distinguish sometimes with sword knots, hangers and frogs.
