Great pics guys!!

Although not wartime - this picture is one of about 15 that were sold on ebay in October. They show a group of children and teenagers playing "army" in what I believe to be Texas (based on the name on a business sign that was in one of them) probably in the 1950s. The other shots were great. Lots of action and intensity on the kids' faces. It was interesting - to the best of my recollection, the younger kids were the Germans and older kids were the Americans. The photos were very well done, almost as if they were being taken by an adult. I made the seller an offer for the lot, but he wanted to sell them individually to maximize his $.

Regards!

Bob

Awesome picture Bob. Brings back memories. I myself ran around in what I later figured out to be an M42 single decal KM and I even made myself an MP40 out of sticks. I later graduated to a pellet rifle. (This was all last year. )

Great pics of kids playing. Brings back memories of myself at that age.
Just think of All the sword blades that were destroyed because kids were play fighting with them....

You can see in colorized photos why flags were very popular and thus so many were brought home.

As someone interested in field gear my eyes are drawn to the lower left of this photo but it looks like there maybe other things in the photo?
