Black Wound Badge - unknown mark
Hello,
I would like to have some opinions on this Black wound badge with broken catch. It has strange marking on the pin, looking like IN or NI - or underlined Z, depending on how you rotate it.
Thanks in advance for any opinions.
Miro

I see many warning lights on this badge which makes me think it´s a bad one.
Soft details, thick layer of finish etc

Has potential to be a good one even though the very thick layer of paint.

I would agree and think the bad feelings from Hans are mainly caused by the extreme amount of black paint which is for sure uncommon but can be found on certain badges. Can you support us with a close up of the maker mark?

Reminds of the "4" for Steinhauer & Lück.

With better pics it is definitely a "4", Steinhauer & Lück. Variant 6 according to Konstantin's BWB book, which has this makermark and a thick layer of paint.
