bad repro ...i bought one like that years ago ...in the early e-bay years ...took a ball-pean hammer to it to put it out of missury..... EC

I agree with mrec .... it is a repro and not a very good repro. What are they asking for it?

They claim it's genuine and say its value is $350-$500.

Unfortunately, that top is not even close. An authentic example can run you anywhere from $3500-$4500.

Here's an authentic example for reference.

These are really nice pieces and quite rare, hence them being pricey. Here's another nice shot showing the crisp detail.

Here's a pole top that didn't fare so well at the end of the war. I've seen many photos of standard pole tops with this section missing. While it's not mint, it is original.
