True DAK Y-straps
Gents,
what would be the fair price for this set? Original back strap is unfortunately missing, but period (?) replaced with the strap made of gas mask can long strap. It looks undoubtedly well used
Thanks in advance for your help

If these one would be complete, than price of 2500 euro would be bottom price IMO but since these is missing backstrap in those Y-straps than price would be much lower, as finding seprate back strap for those first pattern tropical Y-straps are extremely hard to find.

Just to put things in perspective, i was able to buy on at Ciney 2 years ago for 800 €..... unfortunately i didn’t have enough money.....
But to be honest, i think the price is somewhere between the two numbers already mentioned.....

I agree. They are very very hard to find but 2500 is far too expensive IMO. And you must be very lucky to find the back strap.

To show you reality of prices for those first pattern Y-straps ; not so long time ago ( within last year ) the examples without backstrap, like the one shown here, were sold on eBay for near 1900 euro.
Tom you missed a great oportunity buy those quite cheap compering to currently prices.
To show you the diffrence in prices ; 10 or 12 years ago you would be able to buy those for 300-350 euro ( I bought mine with backpack in such price range 12-14 years ago ).

Very nice (but sadly incomplete) set.
I've found three sets here in New Zealand (two still attached to their packs), but I agree, still hard to obtain.
The missing back strap is a problem as these do not turn up without patience, good timing and luck.
I would think between 1000 and 1500 euros.
Regards,
Mark.

That would be my realistic estimation for such Y-straps without backstrap; 1000-1500 euro.

Thanks Marcin,
I have great respect for your knowledge on webbed items.
The partial 'set' that started this thread are still very desirable and well worth obtaining if you can, Reiner.
Regards,
Mark

Gents, thanks for your replies! This set is mine, I got it for $200 and I still believe it was a really good deal.
Btw, back strap clearly was on the straps for a long time.

Hello, thanks for the pictures! This is another model i have never seen before! Good to learn. It would interesting to see a "right" back strap for this rig! Early one knowned are dated 1941. So this model was the first pattern!! It's a good news!
