Very nice cartridges Willy. Any chance of seeing a closeup of the headstamps?

I agree 100% with Willy here. These bullets disintegrate immediately when fired, and barely make it through a sheet of paper. There is no reason the German would have used these for firing at human targets purposefully.

Thanks Willy. I was interested also to see if there was any difference in the lacquer colour around or on the primers on the Treibpatrone compared to the others, but there does not seem to be.

SW, only the "dou" Platzpatrone has a primer lacquer color. And it is green, which is odd to me, as I thought green is reserved for "s.S" ball ammo.

AFAIK s.S. should have a green Randfuge (ring around the primer), SmE should have a blue Randfuge and if ZdH 30/40 was used the whole primer should be all blue. In principal. Unfortunately the belgian homepage (http://home.scarlet.be/p.colmant/index_3.htm) with a list of all war produced 7,92 x 57 lot numbers is down and not working anymore. Perhaps dou (czech producer) was still producing s.S. lots later in the war?

Default Platzpatronen 33.

Quite a lot of these rounds for sale a few years back, haven't seen any lately. Here are a couple of boxes that I have, note both rounds have the ring around them to show 2nd usage of the case.
