Default Mp38/40 pouches

Hi fellas,

I need your opinions on these 1st model pouches from a friend of mine. Looks like text book to me, but I would like to get some opinions from the experts. Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Jac

Far from an expert, but there are two major things I don't like.

First the quality of the stitching looks very poor especially in such an early war set and secondly the gaps between the belts loops look too close together.

If you compare this set with a similar early war one, you will see the differences.

Among other things, this kind of stitching is often seen on fakes. I don't like them and I believe they are repros.

Those are not wartime produced pouches.

Hi fellas,

Thanks for the fast respons on these. Not the news my friend hoped for, but still good to now the outcome.

I will also compair them with my original pair (2nd pattern) i have in my collection (for those interested have a look at my personal site www.ww2-militaria.nl) as soon as i have them in hand. At least great study material.

Regards,

Jac

Usually we see old fakes, or fakes which have been artificially aged, but these are just new fakes.

Default MP38 u. 40 Pouches.

Also the stamp WaAB66 is that found on "clg" pouches which these aren't!
