Perhaps you've mentioned it before, is the mat 49 original, assume it's deactivated, and are these allowed in private ownership in UK.

Superb photos as always.

Silly question, but are you using period cameras as well?? As you seem very detail oriented, tho functioning 1950s era cameras are probably tough to come by.

Hi Chris,
thanks.
Yes the MAT 49 is a deact and is leagal to own in the UK.
These photos were taken on a digital camera, but i do work with a very good photographer some times who prefers to use period cameras, especially when doing ww2 photoshoots.

cheers

Hello all, first post on this website so sorry if I get anything wrong. I've recently got interested in french indochina stuff, and started to buy a few bits. One thing I seem to be having trouble finding is the double canvas ammo pouches for the mas rifle. I have found stacks of the leather ones but none of the canvas. Are they particularly rare? I'm quite stumped, being in the UK we seem to get a fair amount of french stuff but can't find them anywhere.

Though I'm not really sure what there called. Thanks for any help

Ebay.fr - type any of the following: indo, TAP, algerie, cartouchiere.

They're not rare.

Good job on the Algerian-era stuff. I like the early RCP mock up the best. Which chest badge is that on that one? I can't make it out.

Where did you get your socks?

Great pic's guys! I've started picking up a few Indochina bits myself but am wondering which colour beret would a para at DBP have worn red or green? Its probably a stupid question but it seems to be a bit of a mine field to me lol. Also I was wondering what socks you were wearing in the shorts picture are they period or modern one's?
