Default FJ M38 Shell markings

Hello,
Was it common to find a shell with only the serial number (without markings "ET" or CKL)?
Thanks
Arnaud

No, always present on originals. Although the placement may vary (for manufacturer stamped "ET", it would be on the side (towards the front) and for "ckl", it would be stamped on the rear).

Adding to what Walter said, I've seen a few rear marked ckl's where the mark is under the liner band and does not show. Those would be later war no decal helmets of course.

Cheers,
Terry

Default Please look this m38

Hello colleagues. What do you say about this helmet? seller says - German paratroopers M38 helmet, ET68. Early 1940-41 year shell. It was a later type of helmet, which was repaired at the end of the war of 1944; There is no ink in it. At the end of the war. There are 2 steel late type rivets. Two aluminum front rivets with ventilation holes - transitional type.
Please, what do you say about the colour of the bird. I checked much pictures, and didn't find the same colour in not expensive helmets and not replica.
Help me, please

Ok postwar rebuild. - but colour is original? I am not sure, because in all the time all helmets the main value is decals. Decals decide the price. But make sure the whole helmet is not rusting and only in the most important places of damage and rust. Very strange. and the color of the bird - I didn’t find any birds with the same colour - one either whiter or darker. Look at the belt. can a belt get such damage from a soldier’s neck?

Eagle decal is pretty beat up, but it is authentic.

Reparing can be done during the war. Because, now nobody will do do bad quality of work. During the war a d last days of the war nobody thought about high value same devices
We can see that on devices - before and in beginning the war - the stamps WaA was on every nuts, later one on the ready to wark devices.
My idea , make expo 2 soldiers a d mashine gun - need much money )))
