Default Unknown HBT Overseas-cap; possibly LW-Mechanic?

Good evening,

I´m digging through my collection and sorting out the odds and ends. Then I came across this cap I´ve had for a while. In fact, I cannot remember how or when I got it.

So I would very much like to have your oppinion on this one. I suppose it could be a LW-Mechanics cap. It seems absolutely unused, now eagle has ever been on it, whatso ever. Could it be an original?

Thanks in advance,

Kimb.

I would say LW mechanic's cap too; any markings?

No markings, no stamps, no traces of anything having being ever applied to it, now. Smells like an old woman´s sewing table, that´s all

Apply a little DDR insignia and I think you would have the original answer, but I don't collect DDR.

I don´t think so. The cut is not very DDR-like. Since I now live in Saxony, I roam around lots of flea-markets around here and I´ve never come across such a cap.

Any idea what DDR-Branch of arms this might be? If its DDR?

Regards

Kimb.

Had similiar thoughts, as well. The HBT seems way too soft compared to other german HBT-items that I have / have handeled.

Thanks for all the input, so far.

Kimb./Jonas.
