NSFK Ballon pilots badge
I bought this badge on my hotel two months ago in San Diego, it came in with some other items, daggers, etc.
I know these are very rare, and seldom seen, so for that reason I am asking you guys what you think about this badge. Also the value.
thanks
Bob

Hi Bob,
Sorry to say but this one is most probably a fake.
Just look at the bottom left oak leaf which is deformed and should be the same as all the others. Then there is the catch which is 100% wrong.
Like the other NSFK Pilots badge posted elsewhere, check Icarus's toes. I bet they aren't as well defined as they should be.
Just my opinion...

Stan,
I cannot see the toes, they are under the swastika.I have looked at the example by Alisby, which is exactly like mine, he states his is original.
I have never saw so many different examples of this badge, you really do not know which is original and which one is fake!!!!
thanks
Bob

Bob,
Check out the detail of the weave inside the basket area. It should be nice and sharp like this one.

Thanks Mike.
I got this one from Steve W many years ago.
