Hi Brian ,
The topic I’m referring to is the newly identified Juncker badges which have circular striations these are believed to be post bombing and new dies created , I was pointing out the strange striations on the SK in question,
Although the striations on the newly identified Juncker badges are found on the obverse

Kind regards Chay

All of this appears to line up with what Norm has been saying (and Andreas and BassD even before). It seems logical to me that Juncker was already staged for re-location before the February, 1945 bombing which took out the most well-known location completely.

GREAT JOB.

Hi Brian

Here are close ups the reverse detail on the 3 Juncker crosses I posted of this type- from this period of production the striations are a die feature as you will be able to clearly see in these pictures- I can see at least half a dozen good reference points of similarity between all 3.

Juncker changed and reworked their dies on all their awards pretty much and the SC was in production longer than any other I would suggest!

Not so sure, maybe. But finding "matches" from thousands of tiny scratches wouldn't be a stretch. In sum, not so important to me. If the reverse die then great if not, doesn't matter. Obverse not so changed. It would take microscopic analysis to find the matches on the reverse. Unless the fakes get beyond perfect then that might be a future requirement. How many people want to focus on the reverse die scratches or brush finishing scratches? Kinda boring to me.

All the crisp details you need to see are still right here.

Ok Brian , no problem- I was just showing that this isn't hand finishing but die detail- if not of interest to you then it may be to others

No I think you are correct. Some of those marks do look identical. As you say must be a later die cleanup.
