Very nice Bob, especially with the gallantry medal ribbon

Would be good to see some more pictures of the cap when time allows

The device above the Sgt stripe and on lower sleeve will be a trade, proficiency or rank badge. Being a rifle unit ...could be crossed rifles badge for marksman or similar

Jack

The holes on the lower left cuff could suggest a wounded stripe...I think up to three of these could be worn together.

I see holes above the Sgt's stripes, in the position where a CSM's crown might go, or some other specialist badge, but didn't see any shot of the left cuff. But, yes, up to three wound stripes were permitted.

Yes, those have to be wound stripe holes on the sleeve! Very nice - somebodyt who didn';t spend his war counting crates or filling out forms at the depot!

The holes and shape of the indentations in the shoulder strap match the small black brass letters R B for The Rifle Brigade which also goes with the black horn buttons.

The London Gazette should have lists of Military Medal winners or The Royal Green Jackets museum may help.
