Default Opinions on box for panzer assault badge

Hi everyone,

What do you think about this box ? If good, is there a particular badge maker associated with this box or is it a common box ?

Thanks, in advance !

Hello,

Sorry, but that box is a fake.

Best regards,
Tom

There were original cardboard boxes, made in this manner and using staples at the corners. However, the box you show is not at all correct. It is known as the "scrawl fake" because of the odd-looking font on the box lid.

Best regards,
Tom

Thanks very much for this helpful information, Tom and Allan! May we see what the font looked like on an original period box for this badge, for comparison? The boxes in the photo in note #6 below don't show any lettering on the box lid, nor does the link cited.

Many thanks again,

Br. James

I don’t personally remember seeing a designated panzer box, others may have.
Plenty of packets.

I agree with Leigh. You don't see original boxes for the Panzer Assault Badge with a designation on the box lid. Only on the paper packets. You will also find these same fake boxes for the Infantry Assault and General Assault Badges with the "scrawl fake" lettering on the lid.

Best regards,
Tom
