Japanese Captains Uniform Medal Loops

I am trying to understand what is supposed to be on these loops and how they work. I have a few medals that came with the uniform but I do not want to start sticking holes in this beautiful uniform

Please any help with the loops what's supposed to be on them how they work would be very helpful

No need to poke holes, what you need is already there.

You have to have a Japanese medal bar for your decorations if you want to display them on the uniform. The clasp of the bar will go through the small vertical loops and the backs of the ribbons on the medals (on the bar) will go through the horizontal loops. Here is a complete medal bar (see link)...you will have to search some more on this sub forum to see what the back looks like on one of these. The medal bar apparatus does show up on ebay.

The way the stitching is configured on your uniform it could also otherwise just accommodate a ribbon bar.

OK Thanks I will start looking for a medal and or ribbon bar I suppose there are fakes on these also ??

Nice one here: 6-medal bar with lower-grade Rising Sun at $295, and a 9-medal mount [mount only, no medals] for $110.

yes I saw those and sent them a letter a week ago asking for help picking the right items for my uniform and I got no reply . that's why I am asking here again . so what size bar is appropriate for this Captains uniform ?

Not certain, but it might be to support the "hangey down thingies" behind the medals.
