Default Jager officer tunic opinions

Hi Everyone,

This tunic arrived a couple days ago and I would like to get some opinions on it. My apologies for the poor lighting, there's no time to take photos in natural light during the work week.

Anyway, the tunic itself is a genuine standard issue EM M40. I'm primarily interested in what anyone thinks about the officer conversion. To me, the addition of the stand up collar adds to its chances of it being a period upgrade, but I welcome anyone's opinion.

Thanks!

I do not see anything wrong with. I however prefer to see some signs of use on a tunic.

Hello,
Nothing stands out to me as being out of place, but rather it looks like a typical issue tunic converted for officer use. The application of the insignia and conversion look good. It looks like a very nice example to me.
Thank you,
Curtiss

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Glenn, yes itís from Jessenís.

As for wear, itís difficult to tell in the photos but the cuffs, skirt, and waist where the belt would have been worn are more threadbare than the rest of the tunic. Still, it must have only seen light service use if it was worn in the field.

Walking out dress tunic most likely. Especially with an internal dagger strap. That would explain it's great condition.

Thanks, I've been trying get get a good example of these converted standard issue tunics for a while now.

I also ordered the unit history of the division this regiment was a part of. In general, it seems like there isn't much English language work that's been done on the Jager branch.
