Original? Well it is not in original condition: repainted twice, liner messed with. Not very collectable.

I do not trust the m91 chinstrap posts on it--have never seen them like that. They are replaced if the helmet is original. I do not see the photos include any markings. A size 66 or 68 and maker should be seen near the left chinstrap post.

Liner is identical to the usual repro sold by IMA.

I'm really inclined to say it a a repro worn and repainted by a couple of reenactor owners, and now tries to find its way to sell for more money than it is worth. I reenact, and we do not permit copies to be worn. I have no idea what you plan to do with this, but without holding it in my hands to convince me it is an original shell, I say it is not worth $50

the seller said he painted it several times for reconstruction, the helmet has no number, the middle of the helmet is a copy,he says that the helmet is original, he wants $200

Seller may say the helmet is original, but I don't think it is. An original 66 shell ~well~ painted with a repro liner and chinstrap can fetch $225-300 from a reenactor with a big head, but that is an inflated price for use in living history. Listen to the Kaiser. It was his birthday, and he is right. I would not pay over $125 for this if I could determine it is an original shell. I am certain it is not.
