Got recently a canteen that seems to be a Sanitäter Feldflasche but has no markings on the cup, on the neck, wool cover or anything else. Have checked the interior of the strap buttons (usually they show PRYM or FKK or some other marker) but these are blank too altough they have the same pattern as all the others on top.
I suspect it's a Reichswehr unmarked item or mabe even previous as to WW1 (doubt it because of quality).
It is a water bottle for a Belgian Army Officer 1940. That's why the good quality.
I'll take it for a good price
Could be private manufacturer. Normally they are marked.
It has a ton of german features on it (buttons, felt, straps etc) so can you please give some more arguments on your statement ? I am not very familiar with belgian equipment in WW2 but it sure doesen't look like belgian ...

Belgian equipment like canteens and stuff were similar made like german stuff.
I agree with Jan on this.
Belgian pre-1940 private purchase officer's canteen (in very nice condition).
The typical strap around the neck of the bottle is missing.
Similar example to be found on abbl1940.be, as Jan pointed out.
