This appears to be a real Luftwaffe oxygen mask. The elastic is the correct type, not the kind available and used now in copy straps. Also, the string wrap binding on the hose connection to the plug is correct.

The Czechs may well have used this after the war. In 1994, in Prague, I was surprised to see, in a shop, rows of Luftwaffe flight jackets (cloth type with the large "Bulgarian" fur collars). Every one of them had issue stamps from the
50's for the Czech/ Warsaw pact military, as well as RBnr. or other German stamps. The shop owner, obviously a real convert to capitalism, wanted nearly as much as I could buy one for (at the time) in America, so they weren't the best bargain. I passed because I was worried about Customs at the airport.

Hello all,
The mask is entirely rebuilt with various parts.
The mask is made with at least 2 different masks.
The strap is a same copy if it presents well, maybe the metal parts are original.
All the east unit goes up to remake a complete mask.
IMO
Regards.

I agree these are reproduction straps and come in at least 3 colours (brown/green/black) that I have seen so far. I would say that the fittings are also reproductions.
