Default Different polizei summer feldbluse

Hi!

I have some questions regarding this sommer feldbluse. I looks like its made
from typical polizei blue/green cotton twill. What I cant figure out is the french cuffs and the one-piece back. Its lacking the typical multi-piece back construction seen on early typ sommer feldbluse.

What do you make of this? Is it good?

This is the normal early sommer feldbluse, which has a different construction.

Hello,

I have never seen a tunic like that. Firstly, the sleeve eagle is a reproduction. Summer tunics always had removable boards, to allow laundering, but this tunic has sew in. Finally the one piece rear panel is very unusual. Personally I want to say post war, but I don't know enough about 1950's tunics to say for sure.

Regards,
W.Unland

Thank you W.Unland for you thoughts. Something about it doesnt feel right about it. Especially the back peace since it doesnt have a slit and is a one piece construction. Ive been looking At every polizei summer tunic on the net but havent found anyone like this. I would appriciate other inputs aswell regarding this tunic and weather or not its a post War it original tunic?

This looks to be a postwar model! Nothing I would buy as a wartime piece.

I'm in the same boat, I don't think I've seen a tunic like this before. There are several feldbluse variations observed in TR period photos that often are not discussed, although I don't think this is one of them.

The big red flag, a well known and common reproduction sleeve eagle, like Bill mentioned. So I assume the rest insignia is also likely replaced, a small technical point is that the ranks straps are not a true pair but this also happened as seen in period photos. Other traits that catch my attention is the pocket pleat construction being sewn down, not a true folded under pleat, and also the French cuff looks more like a false cuff being stitched down at the top. This makes me think more of postwar production traits. What also strikes me as unusual is the placement of the stamping being on the what looks to be the inside of the interior pocket.

Unfortunately the pictures do not provide great enough detail and in some cases they become a little blurry on areas that may be of greater help. Guess one should take a close look around the sleeve eagle to see if they find an oval trace and around the collars, etc. for other stitch lines.

Dave and Bill, what are your takes on this SchuPo eagle? Found it in a little shop in Prague. Heavily worn and was cruelly removed. I wasn't aware that this pattern was being faked too...

Ran

Ran, that one is authentic in my eyes. It's also not the same as on the tunic in question. Click on the first link even though there is an 'x' at the beginning, it's works for me. In case it doesn't work, this is the tunic in question.
