I would find it odd to have the markings at the base where it would be screwed onto. But at the same time, perhaps just a possibility of an early Junker piece?
Most, as far as I am aware of, are all unmarked.

Again, strange as I would expect the Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM), to have control over such a symbol?

An unmarked schellenbaum eagle. I posted this incorrectly on another thread and cannot edit it off now.

normal for Luftwaffe schellenbaum eagles. These are asembling numbers, the eagle's talon schould have the same number as the swas...otherwise it has been "put" together.

Look at 3:59 - fantastic shot of Shellenbaum, depicting the setup and size.

Yes OFW, that was mine. The flag is a worn with holes in the silk and the leather dry-rotted. It did not come with the Schellie originally, but was acquired by me a few years later. This Schellie, being 1934, would have had a Prussian Police flag with eagle matching the engraved star. The eagle would have been similar to this eagle on Goring's Prussian Min. President car flag, but without the black saw-tooth border.

It was presented to the Schupo of Altona-Wandsbeck whilst that municipality was still a a part of Prussia, before being incorporated into the city of Hamburg. After 1936, it would have kept its original flag or perhaps secured another with the new post-1936 eagle. I got it out of Hamburg in the early 1980s. Found stars and bells for it. Had to repair one of the lightening bolts. It was a bitch to keep polished.
