Default Antique Store Bargain

Hello,
Stopped with my wife in a Florida antique store last week and saw some really nice WW2 awards for sale, including this super rare, one of a kind 200 PAB. At $300 it's a bargain, but unfortunately I just can't swing that amount at the moment. If anybody out there wants this rare award, I'll gladly let you know the location for a very low fee!

Standing by for my PM box to start filling up,
Dale

Hi Dale,

I'm so sorry to hear that you weren't able to purchase this rare item. I'm sure someone will be very lucky getting in contact through you

I had one of those from the old WWII LTD store many years ago. It went really well on my (totally fake) Afrika Korps uniform!

You're all too late, I already sent the location to a Swedish member and his mum who lives in Florida is on the way to get it. Out of the kindness of my heart, I didn't even charge him a fee.

I apologize if the sarcasm in my posting wasn't realized by some of the members here. I've collected so long that I forgot how lost I was in my beginning days when all we had were some so-so reference books and no internet with lots of shark dealers peddling fakes to new and gullible collectors. Though sites such as this have helped the spread of information, they have also helped the fakers make better copies. Also, unfortunately, the number of dealers peddling fakes hasn't decreased either.

I rarely find original items in antique stores here in the US except for mostly common items that are completely overpriced. I'm not saying this seller knew his items were fake but based on the number of repros he had for sale I suspect he did.

This posting was meant to be humorous, but I guess it should also serve to warn new collectors how much bad stuff is out there and to always post items here before buying or to get an ironclad return guarantee.
Dale

Dale,
I can't believe that anyone did not take thread as humorous. It's all good.

Ludwig Did you forget about the dearly departed Rudy Souval?
He had a ten gallon bucket of these 200's as I understand.

That might be true, but I don´t think that he ever believed in them!
