Default 1/35th Scale Panzer Troops w/decals

Recently Tamiya issued a set of 8 Panzer troops with a new twist - the set comes with decals for breast eagles, skull tabs, shoulder boards, EK1s, EK2 buttonhole ribbons, peaked hat wreaths, O/S hat cockades w/soutaches, Krim Shields, sleeve chevrons, and PABs.

Here is a scan of the finished troops in contrast with a metal Panzer troop which has no decals.

In general the decals worked well although attaching them was a challenge. The PAB decals were too dark and I ended up carefully adding paint on top of them.

Beyond all doubt Tamiya's art work is second to none IMO. Someplace place around here I remember a thread dedicated to their artwork.
My apologies if I've highjacked the thread.

I used to save the box faces starting in the 70's, thru them out when I bought my present house in 2001.

Tim, thanks for sharing!

The Tamiya figures have continued to improve over the years.

And I have found their armor models to generally be well thought out in the areas of simplified construction and tight fit to the various components.
