Thanks, it is still the only N. Korean Flag Top I've ever seen for sale.
I also have a v
ery rare early North Korean Army Uniform, Insignia,
Equipment book published by General MacArthur's Headquarters in
August 1950. A thin card stock cover book, contains 52 pages, with
color plates, and photos, in a ~5x7 inch format. Information includes
North Korean ground/air/navy forces, with some S. Korean forces
information too for contrast and friendly fire confusion reduction.

Default wow!...

Answered my own question, though #4 looks doctored to me...made to look overboard. They do wear a lot of awards.

in the past i did own several north korean awards and medals. the highest i owned was Order of Freedom and Independence.. but these awards/medals were very crude and often came directly from china.. i was never 100% if they were "original". so traded with a dealer for other items.

I'm wondering about the criteria for and the
deeds done to earn all of these NK awards?

Not sure if true but I think I've read somewhere that a person can "inherit" and wear his fathers awards under some circumstances. Anyone else heard of this?

i guess like the old soviet awards. long service, military service, contributions to NK etc. - others were issued for service during the korean war(?)

Tretov, not heard that before but makes sense. you probably know this but in the uk, people are allowed to wear medals issued to family members at events - ie remembrance day.. so i guess it could be the same in NK?
