OK.
You could watch movie on You Tube ,,Memory of the Camps (full film)"
In 42 min 22 sec you will see prisoners in shorts.
I also saw on others documentary movie but now it is not important.
This movie is also proof that shorts were used.
The buttons on ,, mine" shorts are regular Assmann made SS buttons.
On the long pants at the fly one button is witch signature ,,for Gentlemen" and three stars are visible around.
Im sure this button was fastened after liberation because I think it is Britisch made button.
I have no time to made pics but maybe someday...
Summary Im not historical ignorant and E bay seller(witch all respect to E bay sellers)
Nothing was tart up

"For Gentleman" are not British. I saw those buttons used on Flemish guard hats and German trousers.

OK.
Thanks for information
But orginally those buttons were made in 20s in England and later widespread in Europe.
Of course you could found them on germans pants and other nationality uniforms ( Hungarian)
Even if not replaced after release for sure were used during imprisoned time.
This way everything is correct.
Peter
PS On the Britisch website ,,The Swagmans Daughter " now for sale is 6 buttons witch those signature founded in old button warehouse
Price for them 2 phounds.
