From January 1942 Kapitänleutnant Thilo-Leberecht von Trotha was Kaleu of T 12.

It could be his signature.

Here we go, it's either T-9 under Kptlt. Georg Grund (DKiG) or T-12 under von Trotha (DKiG) as Gerdan says. As you can see, both ships left Trondheim for Narvik 10 Sept.42, arriving the next day and so crossed the arctic circle on the 11th.

My opinion: the signature is closer to "von Trotha" than to "Grund".

Very goog job! Thanks for this.

I feel, it will be the signature of von Trotha.

I agree and the triangle with line under it fits for T-12 as well

The tactical sign in the seal of the document might reveal the ship?

In this case i've seen photos of torpedoboote with the triangle in various books dealing with the KM.

When it comes to unit symbols in general, the most extensive work available is the following 4 volume set , which includes all branches of service but is also far from complete.

Nice Polarzeugnis.

In my humble collection I have 2 more from T-12, but they are both awarded March 9th 1942.
