Default Luft Dagger with engraved initials

May I get opinions on this luft dagger rig. It has the initials EB in a horseshoe engraved in it. The set just came from a vet family and I know engraving can be tricky but just thought I would ask in case junior decided to get handy with the engraving tool back in the 1960's!!! Except for the handle wear, it's actually not as dirty as it looks and should clean up beautifully. Robert Klaas maker. Thanks guy's.

IMO nice and original 2. model Luftwaffe dagger produced by Robert Klass Solingen.
I hope that grip will stay white, and whole dagger uncleaned / untouched.

Yes, please don't turn it into a socalled "funeral dagger"! Too many Klaas daggers were ruined that way.

Default Dagger

Guy's I have no intentions of messing with this beauty. Just showing it for opinions. Danny what do you mean by a "funeral" dagger? Thanks

Black handled Luft daggers have been called “funeral” daggers by some but in reality there is no such thing. The point was do not remove the white paint on the handle to expose the black finish under the paint.

Howard,

A great looking untouched example, very interesting and desirable. Thanks for sharing.
