Not a fan of a cut down Carbine but whatever worked, worked. I bet plenty of weapons dealers on the black market made a lot of money during that war.



Here are 2 from my collection. 155th Assault Helicopter Company 64-65 - Cut down Carbine with taped magazines and a Thompson minus buttstock. You see a lot of modifications to weapons within Army aviation.

Thanks for posting additional pics. I would imagine the muzzle flash of a cut down M-1 carbine would be ferocious.
