Default Ludwig Ritter von Radlmaier

I am looking for information on Ludwig Ritter von Radlmaier. He helped in the founding of the Panzerwaffe and at one time was an early commander of Panzer Rgt.1. If you look through this this thread, on the Axis History Forum, there is a brief biography of Radlmaier. At the bottom of the thread, there is better quality picture of him as a Generalmajor. He seems to be wearing a Spanish Cross with Swords. This is not mentioned in the bios that I have seen on him. Can anyone tell, from the photo, if it is bronze or silver?

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

In my opinion, he is wearing the Spanienkreuz in Bronze ohne Schwerter.

Another biography here:

Thank you.

I believe his personnel files did not survive the war.

Thank you for the additional information. The WWI page was interesting, I believe Eduard Dietl was there also.
