Default Assistance needed in locating a WWII German Uniform reference book

I am trying to find the name and author of a WWII German uniform and insignia reference book for an old collecting friend of mine. He said it was a large soft bound book with a drawing of a German soldier at parade rest on the cover. I am guessing it was a first addition and probably published in the late 1960’s or 1970’s. I suggested Angolia or Davis but he said neither of those authors rang a bell. Hoping someone out there may know what he is looking for. Thanks!

Thanks Vince.

That is the book I was thinking of originally but he says it's not that book.

Hi,

does your friend remember if there was only one soldier on the cover ?

It was a picture or an illustration ?

It was a generic book on German WW2 militaria ? Not only on SS for example ?

See You

Vince
