Default PAB 75 JFS x 2

Hi All,

this beauty was just added to my Gablonz collection. I was very happy to find this piece. Now it is together with his twin – both pieces are mint, but slight differences in finish and construction could be seen.

Any opinions welcome.

Best regards
Pavel

Hi Pavel,

Both excellent additions. Very minty indeed, can't get more untouched than that.

Pavel,
Jsem velmi žárlivý! I am very jealous! I don't even have one of these and you have two. Looks like I'm going to have to find another job in the Czech Republic so I can come and beg you to sell one of them to me!

Congratulations, my friend, two beauties and I really am happy for you, but if you sell or trade one of them without talking to me first I may never speak to you again.

Hi,

thanks a lot for all the positive comments.

Is there any „fresh“ theory about the grey wreath? By both pieces we can see that they are untouched and that the grey wreath is still there - no traces of remaining of any gold finish. But we can see that the silvers finish on the panzer is still very nice and intact. It clearly shows that the grey wreath came like this from factory.
Why? Are there really 2 sorts of the 75 and 100 PABS? With gold and grey wreaths? Was it officially possible in the period time?

I red few discussions about this, but no clear result was ever done. Some people say the gold finish was there but is gone after some time, some people say the badges were assembled after the war from unfinished parts. But I dont think so. The post war assembly in Gablonz is totally impossible. Also the possibility that the gold finish disapeared totally is hard to believe.

I know that people say JFS 75 and 100 PAB existed with gold wreaths. But I never saw a convincing picture of such badge with finish. Does anybody have picture of JFS 75 or 100 PAB with gold finish?

On the other side everybody knows the JFS 75 or 100 GABS with the perfect nice gold finish wreaths. Why JFS wouldnt use such nice gold finish also for PABs?

Lets see some more opinions.....

Best regards
Pavel

Panel,
The gold faded away over time,
I found these two photos showing them with little gold left,

Kind regards Chay

I agree,
Wrong photo upload,

The two examples show a slight hint of gold

Kind regards Chay
