On Friday evening in the honor courtyard of Friedrich Wilhelm University in Berlin, the Führer ordered a solemn state funeral on the occasion of the death of the inventor of the televsision, Dr. H.e. Paul Nipkow. Our picture shows the president of Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, Professor Dr. Platzhof, laying the honor wreath for the deceased.

Todd, I loved the photo of the Bucker Jungmeister in #1511 on skis at Rangsdorf. I had the great fortune to fly one of these beautiful aircraft back in the 1960's with the original Siemens Halske engine. They are incredibly rare today -- and I had no idea they ever put them on skis, as it was intended as an advanced aerobatic trainer.

Your thread is the one I visit the most frequently!

Thanks Mike for the compliments! Too bad the Bücker Jungmeister photo didn't show the number of the aircraft. It would have been neat to have a history of this particular aircraft to go along with the photo.

F5824/ The 500th victory of a destroyer unit.
They are hated and feared by the English! ME-110’s are lined up at an airfield. The motors of the destroyers are already singing their powerful song. This is a view of the aircraft on the airfield as they start their engines. Our Kampfgeschwader fly against the English to defend against their fighters.
