ESB 40, Alu, Oliv

Well worn but still sound.

I have got a few of them :

HRE34 alu grey
RZM SS 196/38 + ESB41 alu black
WAL39 alu dark green
MN40 alu balck
JSD 40/41 alu grey
GNL41 alu oliv
CCJ41 + MN40 alu black
SWM43 steel black
L&SL44 alu green
CFL44 alu green


last but not least
RBNr 0/0857/001 + AEMA44 steel green !!

question, why were these black-an impractical colour perhaps for the field...were black ones used by non army troops, or also army troops, despite its seemingly impractical colour.

Got another "ohne Meßstriche, ohne Griff am Deckel" only this one is MN 44 dated, anyone else saw any '44 before? i also got a '45 one.

year 44 is one of the most common date for messkits
and you can find a lot unissued and mint or in VGC

Oh sorry i mean another '44 without the grip thats on the front (ohne Griff am Deckel), i've only seen '45 dated messtines without them.

Yes, that is postwar, i beleve from the Bundeswehr.
