Default Unknown Vehicle 55 Litre Fuel Tank

Hey guys...

This is an odd one I have had for a couple of years.

Luftwaffe, based on color and cap
72 Octane (which as I understand is for vehicles only)
55 Litres.

Thoughts?

Never seen this kind of fuel tank. The shape is very strange. No way of reading the metal plate?

Default Fuel tank,

Hi,
Looks like an aircraft part and vehicle fuel is octane 74 , the data plate says manufacturer (Hertsteller), Armaturen-Apparate-Fabrik PRESCHONA, Berlin.

Code "fcf".

cheers lennard

Ja...it looks like a wing-tank.

but 74 octane was used in aircraft...

All the handbooks I have seen specifically state that 74 is not for use in aircraft...

Hi,

Perhaps I was not clear, but OZ 74 is vehicles, its usually cast onto the engine block somewhere, what OZ 72 is for I have no idea.

cheers lennard
