Thank you very much Brian, you are, for me, one of the best, if not the best, in this type of pieces.

Thank you very much for the great help.

Thanks but be careful. There is an excellent fake Juncker out there. From pics it is very well made. Yours however looks very convincing.

The Juncker looks like a casting from these pictures- lots of tiny pits on the eagles and reverse- also the eagles don't appear to be separately soldered but cast as part of the cross. I wouldn't touch that one.

Here's a fake and why Patrick is correct to be cautious.

I would "touch" it. But it would require examination to "keep" it.

The CEG gave this one away but look how fine it is without examining the MM.

The fake Junckers I have seen in bronze all have this feature. The eagles are all cast independantly. Each has this funny nick in the swaz. I didn't see that on yours.

I am looking on my phone, and my images are just so large. Do you see this tell on your eagles?

And at this magnification you can see the crappy casting. If this is like yours it would require this type of detail to see it.

The reason they all have this knick is because that was the base eagle which was hand finished form an original. Each eagle has some hand finishing. They used one that was hand finished with that nick.

I think so, if it refers to the peak that sticks out.

I can't see it well enough but you have the forensics to figure it out. Do they all have the same details?

I still like the L/16. Catch is very unique to S and L.

That looks exactly like the really well done fake. Now they are heaped with patina to hide as much as possible. Interesting.
