I wonder if the scope rail is even attached?.....The stock is also recessed for the rail on original Zf41 rifles....Bodes

Default Russian Capture, of course...

Mix/match parts. Beware! Can't be sure from pic but looks like firing proof eagle
on barrel may have had swastika removed? I would look extremely carefully
at the serial number for signs of a removed letter suffix or any alterations to
polish. Compare very closely to good pics of known-originals, especially with
regard to machining marks on receiver of originals. Once polished over, they
scream "alteration!" -- hope this helps!

Default my K98 single rune rifle

heres my K98 BNZ 43 single rune. it's a hand stamped version
no letter suffix. over 8200 were made in 1943.
so no letter suffix needed. my is number 7568.
no receiver proof marking either.
hope this helps

Agree. Why would anyone go to the trouble to fake the rifle on a RC?

Default single rune k98

It is a Russian capture single rune k98. doesn't have the x Russian capture stamp, which is nice.
just wanted to show for a comparison to the k98 shown
earlier on the post.
