How hard is it to find a Der Spiess tunic from the Schutzpolizei, or other police branches?

thanks in advance, have one maybe, but price is around $1400 USD - too much?

regards
Randy

So what insignia would be worn by the Schupo on a tunic drawn from early war Wehrmacht stores?

Hi everyone,

I have already posted this pic on the general thread but here it's the right place IMO.
My 1944/45 2nd Leutnant of Schupo.

why do the eagle and cockade on the cap look so large and strange to me or is it just the photo?

Yes, it's just an effect on the photo I don't know why...

That's the cap on this pic, taken by the seller before my order:

Nice sets guys

I built this SCHUPO set many years ago to match the Norwegian equivalent in my collection – the rare model 1942 police uniform. These German and Norwegian police uniforms could be seen side by side by my grandparents in the streets of Oslo – scary for them while fascinating for me

Very neat Marius. I have been looking for one of these wartime Norwegian Police uniforms for years but with no luck on this side of the pond.

I think it is the shape of the elongated wreath on this one, as it is very oval and thin towards the top. Here is a true Officer's eagle that is much different in shape.

I have never seen one like yours before. Anyone else have one to compare?

Here's a really nice peaked cap I picked up for a tunic display I'm working on.
