Default Police Ribbon Bars

I've always had an interest in collecting police related ribbon bars andIi finally got a few of them together for picture.

Would really like to see what others have found!

Dear Dave,

What does the police eagle with swords denote?

Those small embroidered eagles 2nd from the bottom, and bottom right are VERY nice.

Regards,

My only example:

There was another ribbon bar from the same group that I wasn't able to get my paws on:

Dave,

Very nice ribbon bars. I expecially like the ones with the embroidered police eagles. I have one of the metal eagles with the crossed swords behind it too. I don't know what it is but it is not in the regulations that I have seen. I would suspect it indicates combat service in an unofficial manner.

Thanks Dave for the heads up about this thread & here are my examples for consideration.

Included in this first group are an uncommon embroidered example, 2 rare 8 Year LS Mini Devices & the top South German style bar which Rick L believes to be a Polizei General's bar.

I'm still trying to ID the owner, which by the non-regulation placement of the 25 YR LS won't be hard if a photo surfaces. Just waiting for the next editions of Biblo Verlag's Generals of the Waffen-SS & Polizei to come out, as he's not in Vol. 1 A-G.

Here are my other 5, all 25 YR LS examples.

The top one being uncommon as it's not only a very brave Austrian, but it also has both a KVK & KVM, not to common to see on a bar!

Close up of the Generals bar.

Very high quality construction with a Württemberg Militär-Verdienstorden Ritterkreuz, both Austria & Czech annex with a high quality Prauge Bar.

Really a beauty & one of the stars of my ribbon bar collection!

Probably one of the rarest 3rd Reich period devices out there are these 2 little beauties, 8 YR LS Mini's.

I truley am fortunate to have more than one!

Great ribbon bars, thanks for sharing!

Bill, Not sure what that example with swords denotes. Just something I picked up after George brought it up at the other forum.

Wow Chris, talk about a lot of nice examples!! Those 8-year devices are hard to find, I know, I still need one! I believe I have the same Württemberg award on a ribbon bar. The bar is faded, although it is off of a Meister ranked Gendarmerie tunic.

Nice salty bar you have there Dave.

Yes it is the same award, a brave WW1 fighter with Czech annex as well.

I'm guessing the last ribbon to be Bulgarian, can you tell the colors or stripes on the one right before the Czech ribbon?

Dave and the three Chris´s

fantastic ribbon-bars everybody

The swords do not belong to the ribbonbar on the top right. Dave, could you post a closeup to see, if the device is okay?

Great stuff

Gerd

Chris, The faded ribbon before the Czech ribbon appears to have been a darker blue, like the long service ribbons. The ribbon at the end has copper metallic looking stripes. I had it all figured out but I'm unable to find my notes and I don't recall what it was offhand.

Gerd, I'll see if I can get a better picture. I'll say that I'm not all that impressed with the quality and of course the sword question.

The plain blue ribbon might be a peacetime award of the Friedrichsorden - is it a cornflower blue, or more of a royal blue?
