Default Gordon Gollob platinum A piece

Norm,

With all respect but the platinum piece of Gordon Gollob that you marked as copy is one of the two original platinum pieces he recieved. (One from Hitler and one from Göring)
The other one is the picture of the cased one.
Pieter

Btw you should read better and understand the discription of Hermann Historica Auction …

It is not the Gollob piece…

Fantastic information, Pieter. Thanks so much for sharing your expertise and clearing that up.

So here are compilations of the previously posted images of Gollob's two sets of 2nd model platinum diamonds, pulled together for clarification and illustration:
1) the two photos of set 1
2) the two photos of the cased set 2
3) side-by-side comparison of set 1 and set 2

Best regards,
---Norm

Here's the cover photo for the upcoming H-H auction in November showing the 2nd model, B piece. The only description I see on the site so far is:
"These admirable material pièces de résistance include the Oak Leaves with Swords and Diamonds to the Knight's Cross, which was only awarded in very few cases (lot 5709)."
No attribution stated there but "Online catalogue available from mid-October".

Best regards,
---Norm

Attractive photo! I assume the two pieces have been Photoshopped together since one is in B&W while the other is full colour, and the the shadows are cast in different directions?

Also, the case appears different from the other photos -- it has a black push button on the front and differences in the white fabric over the hinge (not to mention the ribbon).

Not sure what to make of that?

Best regards,
---Norm

Still have this photo in my collection of Gollob at a Treffen. Not sure what he's wearing here, a wartime set or postwar replacement.

Regards,
Nick

Default As i mentioned before😎

No photoshopping at all…

As i told before Gollob recieved two platinum sets of diamonds…

The one shown in my photo …

And a second set shown by yourself … ( this set was longtime in the famous collection of the well know duo Stephen Wolfe and Neil Hardin…now in an other high end collection(😉…don’t worry wont tell your name*******128514

PS … ALL diamond cases have black push buttons… the set of ex-W&H was also black but the paint has chipped off. I spend days comparing these two sets☺️

Pieter
