Default short M Cholm shield

Hello all,

Would like a confirmation that this shield is perfectly original, thank you! In my opinion it is an authentic "short M" type shield.

Looks like a textbook Short-M for me as well. Nice piece, and I’m sure you already know a tougher one to find.

The short M Cholmschild is renowned for its razor sharp detail; I think the wear on this piece is contrived and would like to see closer pics of the lettering and of the eagle's head, like below:

I think the "contrived" wear you see is due to the cleaning someone did on the shield. It looks like someone has used vaseline on it and cleaned.
Anyway I see no problem with this shield.
