Default Allgemeine SS Junkerschule Tölz & vertical TK tab set

Hello all,

I would like to please verify that these sets are both authentic if at all possible. The vertical totenkopf appears to have had the roman numeral removed. Both sets show light wear and are uniform removed.

I believe this might be the Tolz set that was won at auction recently on Emedals? Nice set!

I don't like the detailing of the skull, especially the teeth.

I don't like the skull either, expecially not the... things that are not supposed to be like that.

It sure is odd that this TK tab has a repair and or modification on the top and displays sings in the first picture of having some type of embroidery below it...? Horizontal tab used to construct a vertical tab?..... Or maybe that's the backing material giving off weird wear?.... Not sure, but not feeling great about it.... Left top bone thickness, jaw.........? My opinion...

I seem to remember another skull tab discussed a while back with the odd seam in the material. I wonder if this is the same one or a different one?

I do not believe that is the set sold on E Medals as no mention of wear on the rank tab,
Actually I take that back as the backing and part of the RZM tag are the same.
Someone paid a lot of money for it on a auction.
Why just turn around and try to sell it?

Default Tabs

Not good examples, the Tolz one is sloppy and doesn't match known examples, take a good look at the "t" its just not right, as for the TK tab, its all over the place, loose threads, bad teeth and that old story again "the roman numeral has been removed" The fakers love that one, its just that little bit off set from a straight line...funny how the roman numeral removers never managed a clean separation!

Default Tabs

On closer inspection, both unit tabs seem to have the exact same backing and stitching, the buckram is identical in both instance's(what are the odds?). The rank tabs do not match either each other or there corosponding tabs. If these tabs (rank tabs)were uniform removed, they were removed from different uniforms at different times, and are not original to the bogus unit tabs.

Only collectors that have never been in the Army seem to insist that collar tab pairs be made by the same company. A soldier getting promoted does not care at all. Remove the old rank tab, sew on a new one with your new rank.
