Default MG 42 stock hvg44 waA34

Hello

http://www.ebay.it/itm/Mg-42-Kolben-...-/331069376641

I have seen this Mg42 stock and also bought one and i am very impressed of this nice stock because there are only a few of this condition and this one is really beautiful.

i have checked all the important points to check the originality and i also got a feedback from an expert that there is nothing unusual so i think its 100% original but I also would like to here your opinion concerning this stock.
- stamps
- wood
- metal parts
- overall condition
- maybe someone has a story for me about the stocks of this producer

please only comments from people that have knowledge on stocks.

thank you very much

This is a new well made stock from fresh wood with fake stamps. Though WaA34 was one of the manufacturer's of the stocks the eagle is different than the original. The shape of the hook for the middle of the pointer finger and thumb is shaped different than the originals as well. It is much thicker on the originals and not rounded over. I can make some pictures if you like to show you why this is fake.

I would like to see QUALITY pictures of a genuine WW2 stock. I have been facing this same dilemma while searching for an original.

The stocks posted are very high quality. They even have the wood dowels on the "fin" of the stock. If they are repro, I wonder if he used german cups or yugo? Looking forward to further discussion.

The dowels are much farther forward on this repro than on the original's.

I think they are original at all because i asked some other experts too and they told me that they are original.....concerning the eagle i compared it to an 100% original and thats the Same eagle but i heared that hvg also used other stamps sometimes so this would explain it.

Also all the Metall parts are german and the wood is also older than it is shown on the picture and there is really hard old grease in the Cup to Check
How old they are.

So the stocks are a little Bit darker like on the pics .

But thanks a lot

Ps.: i now got a message from someine that they produced the stocks like this in 1944 so my question is answered.

But thank you too

I wanted to close because i got some feedbacks which confirmed the originality so my question got answered

here are two links with 2 stocks and they look the same also the eagle.

http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=703430

http://www.invaluable.com/catalog/vi...2&scp=c&ri=570

The stock i got was also very hard wrapped in a soft paper hermetical and it was oiled with a very light oil.

But you can further discuss if you want.

I got a story for you. There is a guy who made a bunch of brand new stocks using german cups and FAKE stamps and is trying to sell them as original. The eagle is completely different and the hvg stamp is different same with the 44 stamp!! THE SHAPE OF THE WOOD IS NOT THE SAME.

Here is a picture of one of these stocks next to 3 originals. You can clearly see the dowel location is about 3/8 of an inch to far towards the gun. Also the thumb hook is completely WRONG and no originals look like this. The other picture shows how the top of the stock is much thinner than the originals. I am not an expert but i do have 28 years experience as a machinist and i can also show you how the stamps are completely different as well if you like. The one i have cost me 75.00 AS A REPRO.
