This, and a sequence of other photos showing the same panzer leutnant in his cut off FJ smock, appear in the excellent 'After the Battle' book, Ruckmarsch -The German retreat from Normandy'.

Apparently they were taken on 25 Aug '44 in Rouen.

Do you have the other pictures? Be interesting to see.

He and his crew were very lucky to survive the battles of Normandy.

The guy with officer PZ M43 has a leather jacket. The officer with the Alter Art cap has a shortened FJ smock. And others guys in the schwimmwagen have HBT PZ wraps.

Shortened FJ smock with Panzer insignia... if a jacket like this came up for sale somewhere without waterproof provenance it would get the worst reviews ever and probably be sold as some kind of fantasy item.
