Hi Peter

Was Albrecht in Kreta?. I read Greichland Einsatz but not Kreta Einsatz. And there aren't EK for Kreta actions. I don't see either Armelband Kreta.
What do you think? Where was Albrecht on May 1941?

Regards Joserra

Hi Joserra!
I don't think that Albrecht participated in the Crete-campaign. Yes, he was in Greece at that time, but it's not possible for me to state, why he rested there. Maybe he was ill, hurt or had another mission, I'm afraid, we will never know...

Kind regards, Peter

p.s. Thanks again for the kind comments, guys!

Hi Peter

I think like you. Perhaps there were not enough planes to all the members of the 3./Fallch. MG Btl 7 to fly to Chania and Karl Albrecht remainded behind.

Regards and thank you again for showing this group

Nice!! Love the photo/s too. I also wonder why he didn't participate in Kreta, especially while In Greece. No wounds or hospital listings at that time either......just a mystery, but doesn't detract from this grouping one bit!
