Default “The United Front Behind the Front!”

Approx size 9.5 ring, sterling marked, maker (WL?) marked- a homefront piece in Art Deco heroic styling. Wonderful detail on this... wish I knew more about it... any ideas? I believe it to be for the industrial war workers of ww2- amazing detail down to the coveralls on the worker (in a long line of workers) with a battleship, a column of tanks, an AA gun, and a plane all evident among the details- factories, smokestacks in the background. The 3D quality of this ring makes me wonder if the artist wasn’t a WPA muralist or engraver that was hired to make a cartouche for a ring manufacturer. In addition between the maker mark and the silver content is a light engraving that reads “D99M.” At the bottom it is also lightly engraved “360.” Just thought is post here to share with you all, as I’m a ring collector- probably at least half of my pieces are USA wartime I would guess (the rest are German). Thanks for looking.

very cool ring! I thought WPA as soon as I saw it too!
Never saw one like that before. Love the home-front stuff!
