I believe these are standard issue Heer breeches for mounted personnel.

These breeches are of the M-36 pattern though the Feldgrau colored wool suggests post '39 manufacture (as opposed to the Steingrau/ Neugrau used prewar).

It could be worn with your M36 jacket , to have a mounted personal outfit ?
Are the collar patches red piped ?

Normally not ... Infantry is not considered as a "mounted" branch ?
But why not ? An Infantry horse rider or a motorcycle driver ?
NCO were certainly ok , but EM normally not ...

Johan

I would go with what Nick has said with regards to the mounted M40 breeches, I have a pair similar and have put them with some cavalry riding boots and M36 NCO tunic, along with my Cavalry visor...then again I do have an affection with Kavallerie.

Would look nice with M36 straps on and litzen with coloured piping as well...but as to choice of colour then best left to you as the owner of the tunic.

Dave
